2. Website delivery and hosting

Visiting this website requires processing technical connection data, including your IP address, request time, requested URL, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system information. This supports website delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is operating a secure and reliable website.

The website uses Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, for hosting. Data may be processed in the United States. Contractual safeguards and standard contractual clauses are described in Vercel’s Data Processing Addendum. Technical data is processed only as long as necessary for delivery, security and troubleshooting; longer retention may be necessary to investigate specific security incidents or meet legal obligations.

3. Vercel Web Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to evaluate usage statistically. Data includes page views, referring pages, timestamps, approximate region, and browser and device type. Vercel describes the statistics as aggregated, without cross-site user profiles. A visitor identifier derived from the request is discarded after 24 hours; this is not the retention period for aggregated statistics.

The service does not use analytics cookies. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is understanding and improving this website. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation for further information. The hosting section also applies to the provider and potential international transfers.

4. Getting in touch

If you contact me by email or phone, the contact details and content you provide are processed to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, or otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in responding. Data is deleted once the enquiry has been resolved, unless legal retention requirements or legitimate reasons require further storage. Email and telecommunications providers process the data necessary to deliver communications.

5. External links and contact download

WhatsApp and LinkedIn are provided as links only. A connection to the respective service is established when you open a link; that service’s privacy policy then applies. Messages and profile data you share are also processed by the respective provider. Email and phone are available as alternatives.

“Save Contact” downloads a vCard containing my contact details. This does not give the website access to your address book. The initial page language is selected using your browser’s language header, without setting a cookie. Fonts and the portrait are served without external font or image services.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.

Under Article 21 GDPR, you may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. To exercise your rights, use the contact details above.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR, particularly the Independent Centre for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein or the authority where you live or work.

7. Further information

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place. Providing contact details is voluntary; without the information necessary to respond, an enquiry may not be answerable.
